Keep Doors and Windows Shut

Hold every entrance the creature can open, including the second floor, and run the look-shut-light scare-off before a breach starts.

What you are actually guarding

Every documented way in runs through a door or a window. The official description says light keeps the creature away, but one vulnerable entrance is all it needs. It can reach doors, windows, and the second floor. If it gets inside, the house goes dark.

On the default house, recorded runs use these openings:

Opening What players do with it
Front door The named main door. Shut it the moment anyone comes back inside.
Side door A working exit and entrance. Learn where it is on the first walk.
Sliding or glass door Assigned its own guard in team play.
Downstairs and upstairs windows It opens them and has jumped through one.
Top window Used as an emergency drop: open it and go down.
Lower exit A downstairs way out, distinct from the entrance doors.

Snowbound Lodge recordings name a front door, windows with blinds, walls, and the roof. Room names on that map are not established. The lodge route is separate: Play Snowbound Lodge.

The creature opens entrances itself. Groups hear it working the upstairs main bedroom and another window, and, against The Boiled One, that a door can be worked from the other side. Recheck after it has been in an area and after every power cut.

The scare-off

The tutorial says: when you hear it at the door or the window, go scare it off. Look right at it, shut that entrance, and turn on a floodlight.

Your cue is sound plus the on-screen state "Opening active." Knocking and footsteps come before the tamper in some runs. The sound can point at the wrong wall, so use it to choose which side to check, then answer the entrance you can see. Do not wander the yard just to look.

Leave floodlights on after a successful scare-off if the power is up. Players who survived late nights kept them burning rather than saving them. Floodlights are house fixtures. They are not the flashlight in your hand, and they do nothing while the breaker is out. Flashlight cells do not feed the floodlights.

Doors

Never open a door while the creature is standing outside it. One player warned that it would run straight past the opener. Another group opened a door so a teammate could slip out while it was nearby, and "Breach active" followed. If someone must cross, clear that specific door first.

Windows

Windows are the entry players actually lose to:

  • It jumps through a window.
  • It opens windows itself.
  • A window found wide open after a power restore already had it inside.
  • A player-opened top window led to a kill in the pantry.

Do not open a window to peek. If it is pressing the ground floor, go upstairs and close those windows too. Upstairs is not a safe floor.

Power cuts expose every entrance

The creature cuts the power on purpose. The Locust has an on-screen line that it does not breach lit areas. The general description says light keeps it away, and the other credited creatures do not get that same on-screen sentence. Until the breaker is back, entrance defense is manual: close what is open while someone else is on the box. One breach came through the downstairs window while the group was fixing power. The restore order is on Restore the Breaker.

Mistakes that end the night

  • Opening a window just to look.
  • Opening a door with the creature on the step.
  • Trusting a shut door to stay shut.
  • Ignoring the second floor.
  • Waiting on a power cut before anyone is assigned to entrances.
  • Spending the whole night on silence and never walking the loop.

If the screen says "Breach active," that entrance is already lost. Switch to Survive After It Gets Inside. The problem is no longer the doorway.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What time do you have to reach to win?

The official description says to survive until morning. Recorded nights end at 6:00 a.m.: the sun comes up, the creature leaves, and the squad returns to the lobby. There is no item to turn in.

What do you do when the creature is at a door or window?

The in-game tutorial teaches one scare-off while house power is on: look right at it, shut that entrance, and turn on a floodlight. A dark entrance has lost that protection. The creature opens doors and windows itself, including upstairs, so walk the loop again after every scare-off.

Is this the burglar game where you protect a Dominus until 8 a.m.?

No. This experience is Roblox place 121165298854655 by dilly dally games. You keep floodlights powered, watch doors and windows, restore an outside breaker, and survive until morning against The Locust, Boiled One, or Boy and the Bath. A different Roblox game uses a similar title for a burglar and a Dominus. Flashing a flashlight at a window until 8 a.m. describes that other game.

Which creature is easiest?

There is no official ranking. One player called The Locust nearly impossible and called The Boiled One the weakest, then finished a hard Boiled One night and called it way too hard. Boy and the Bath is credited on the official page, but no recording confirms a unique look or counter. Use the same siege plan for every lobby pick.

Are there working codes?

No code string and no redeem button are confirmed for this place. Lists that promise batteries, floodlight upgrades, skins, or invulnerability are not backed by a developer announcement. Check the official experience page and the dilly dally games group before you type anything.

What happens if it gets inside?

The official line is that the house goes dark. Hide without letting it see you enter, turn the flashlight off, and stay quiet, or step outside until it leaves. Restore the breaker only after it is back outside. A caught player can become a ghost; a living teammate uses a world revive totem. Solo players have no self-revive.
